Oh jeez.... so instead of going to bed I started perusing the gwbush re-election website and I came upon his "Compassion Photo Album" which could more be more aptly titled as the "Bush with Black People" album.... Basically every picture that has him in it posing with someone else (other than the Pope ones which is a whole other story ie pope chastising him pretty much...) is him with a black person and I mean every picture. I'm trying to figure out if this is insulting to black people or he (or whoever thought up the idea of this photo album) is just an idiot. I mean, if I were black, I think I'd find it patronizing that my race is being represented as the one needing compassion..... I dunno... I'm not sure if that gets what I'm trying to say accross but hopefully you get my point.... I mean there are poor white people too. Is he just trying to prove that he's not racist or something? Like seriously what does this have to do with compassion???
It's just him at a podium... he has black people behind him... so he's compassionate? Is he trying to be hip? I mean really he just seems to be promulgating stereotypes....
Maybe you can help clarify...because I am at a loss...
